Welcome to Our Community (Games)
I started gathering these links with great intentions of keeping the list updated and fresh, but it turns out that I don't have the patience for that. So here's a list of some new links and some old links. We can't take responsibility for the content of the sites... but hopefully you'll find something here of interest.
... We finally managed to update these links a bit. If there are any broken or dead links please let us
know (itīs tough to keep track of everything). Do feel free to submit ideas for links on the messageboard.
Thanks! TC

- Angry : A very angry bunch of designers, cartoonists and all-round creative people. They're renowned for their work with BellX1 and other darlings of the Dublin scene. They also lent their distinctive artwork to the cover of our Know You Hate Me single and the Live At Saint Kevin's album.
- Ivy Court Records - My humble independent home-grown record label. Also on myspace.
- Vivo Discs (Japan) - The fabulous label I'm signed to in Japan.

- Foggy Notions Irish Magazine
- UNCUT Uncut UK Mag
- Mojo Mojo

- NME New Musical Express
- Music Plasma Interesting site that shows links between various bands. Type in a band and see what other bands theyīre linked to. Itīs all debateable of course, but itīs interesting nonetheless.
IRISH BANDS
- BELLX1 - They used to be the most under-rated Irish band in the world ...ever... They're good guys.
- Colm Quearney a.k.a Q - Singer, songwriter, sometime Mundy & Lir guitarist supremo & all 'round nice bloke. 'Reckless' is one of the catchiest tunes ever written. Also a great links page....
- Maria Doyle Kennedy - Every one of Maria's gigs is like a 'happening'. You really come away feeling you've witnessed something special. I'm quoting someone else there, but I think they put it well.
- Lir - One of the best known underground bands from Ireland. This is an unofficial site. - You can buy Lir stuff from their american label apparantly - WAR Records . Lir's former members are now scattered throughout the music scene in bands like Bigwig, Colm Quearney, Earthquake Hair, David Gray's band,... David Hopkins has launched a solo assault from San Fran, Paul 'Binzer' Brennan also drummed with them. I think you can link Binzer in some way to every Irish band of the last decade. He's played with everyone.
- Damien Dempsey - No negative vibes nor comments here.
- Gemma Hayes - Apparantly handed in her college ID one day, and went off to become the well regarded singer/songwriter she is today. Obviously has more guts than I do... I'd just stop going...
- Turn - "Forward" is a stunning album.
- Nina Hynes - Dublin singer/songwriter
- Tychonaut - formerly The Tycho Brahe. There's very complicated links between Automata, The Plague Monkeys and The Tycho Brahe... among others... the Irish music scene being what it is...
- The Frames - At this stage they're Irish legends.
- David McWilliams - From Ballymena, wrote "The days of Pearly Spencer" and some other gems.
- Van Morrison - A colossal Ivan resource. Thereīs a picture there somewhere of the two Morrisons (Jim of The Doors & Van) playing together.
- The Chalets - Dublin band... the little graphics on this site are magical. Related to the bizarre "Warlords Of Pez" in two ways. Go on. Guess.
- Mic Christopher - Mic's Heyday has moved from underground anthem to mainstream hit thanks to a Guinness ad. The Heyday album is well worth a listen.
- The Walls - Formed by the brothers Wall of The Stunning fame. Currently brewing up a storm around the country.
- Paddy Casey - His first promotional film is a must-see. Glen Hansard stars.
- Jerry Fish - Everyone knows the recent single "True Friends". Fewer realise this was the guy who sang "Celebrate" with An Emotional Fish
- Mundy - Mundy Enright, 24 star musician
- Rodrigo y Gabriela - Instrumental music like nothing youīve heard before. Two classical guitarists from Mexico. Living in Dublin. Former heavy metal fans. Incredabubble.
- David Hopkins , now based in NYC. Ex-Lir piano genius.
- Rory Gallagher - Official site

- Mitch Schillinger - Mitch drummed on "Wax & Seal".
- SheGoesBang - Niels was the guitarist on "Wax & Seal".
- Reamonn - Philipp, Reamonnīs bassist, performed a few gigs with us in 2004 and 2005. Philipp likes sports jackets. There's also a fanpage at REATEAM. He plays bass on one or two tracks on "Wax & Seal".
- Amy Rigby - I caught her at the last Sirenīs gig in The Village. Wrote a fantastic song that I canīt name... all about ex-boyfriendīs and hired killers.
- Supergrass - Interestingly, they dedicated their Life On Other Planets album (which as usual is stunning) to the late lamented Douglas Adams. As zany as the man himself.
- The White Stripes - Still not sure what I make of these. Seven Nation Army is cool though... and a little bit unsettling given the current state of play in the world of war.
- Joni Mitchell - this site contains the most exhaustive Joni Mitchell guitar tab resource I have ever come across. Amazingly detailed. Go here for the official Joni site.

- James Taylor - Said to be the subject of Joni's "Carey" from Blue (as well as "Blue" itself).
